I LEFT THE PARTS THING BLANK AGAIN! (oh and happy holidays...)

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Happy Holidays!
Let's do some parts, shall we? How about _ parts (In my last post, I forgot to go back and put in the amount of parts. Let us see if it happens again...

Part 1: NEW PROJECTS
I'm not sure what we're calling it, but my sister and I are beginning a new project where we both have blogs to review stuff on and sometimes we review the same thing. It's a work in progress. The first person to comment on my blog wins a prize (I'm not saying whether or not it actually exists, just that it's a prize). Want a hint? Here: bookwormincombatboots.blogspot.com = the Dreaded Sister's blog. Another new project is a story based on a dream I had. So unfortunately if you like reading about my dreams (I doubt any of you do, but this way I have them documented) cannot hear about this one quite yet. Here's a little back story: it's in England, it's all a letter, and there is killing involved. Sound like a good read? If I ever want to actually complete the writing of this story, I will need people motivating me. I would like for you to be those people.
Just a thought.

Part 2: BLOGGING FOR MONEY
I was looking at ways for bloggers to get more viewers or to make their blogs better, because I LOVE this thing, but most of the videos mentioned revenue. How to make money off your blog, how to monetize your blog. THE POINT OF BLOGGING ISN'T TO EARN MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S TO GET YOUR IDEAS OUT THERE! I'm not saying that everyone who monetizes their blog is sleazy, but seriously? I like the idea that I can just write and write and maybe people will read it, and maybe not. But at least I got my ideas out there.

Part 3: the DREADED SISTER
Mel. Melly. Whatever you wish to call her. I call her the Dreaded Sister because she can get very grumpy. Want an example? She got too "busy" to buy our joint Christmas gift for my MOM. She's nice and funny, but she really gets on my nerves sometimes. She's actually sweet most of the time, unless she hasn't gotten enough sleep. Which is often.

Part 4: HOW A BLOG WORKS
For those of you (if you exist) who seem to think I just sign in, post, and then sign out, I thought I'd tell you everything I go through.
MY FRIDAY BLOGGING ROUTINE
First I sign into my e-mail. I do this for an overview of any comments (speaking of which, if you read this far, put the words "I Won" in your comment, but not next to each other). I do not open these. If I see any new comments, I will check them later. I sign out of my e-mail.
Second I sign into blogger. If I saw any new comments, I check them now by going to my dashboard which shows me my blogs, and I can check the settings, COMMENTS, and I can change my background (do you like the Christmas theme?). So I would click "comments" and look at them. Then, if I need to respond to them, I do.
Third, I choose what my blog should be about. Usually, I'll choose four topics because I know I'll only end up writing about three. I've started writing some drafts to save so that I can always guarantee this blog will be updated. I promise that I will tell you when I'm posting from a back-log (THIS IS, in fact, A BACK-LOG). Then I type and type.
Then I spellcheck.
Then I title it.
Next, I post. Then, if I am in a good mood, I write a back-log article.

Part 5: WHY LIP GLOSS IS FLAVORED
1. So we need to reapply more often.
2. To make up for how sticky it is.
3. Propaganda.
4. It tastes good. 'Nough said.
5. So we actually like it.

A story for number 5: a year ago my friend gave me a tube of lip gloss, which said "Chocolate" on the side. I put it on and tasted it.
It tasted like dishwater fluid. It was colored like chocolate (not usually an appealing color, but it worked...)

Love ya'll! Merry Holidays!

Robin

PS Mac, I'm happy you got your record player!
